	Construction
Like any other finely crafted piece of work, a Composite Pool owes its existence to the creative design concepts of skilled engineers. Paying particular attention to safety, strength and aesthetics, our designers conceive a pattern, which is first drafted on paper then built as a solid structure composed of steel and wood. Design features, such as steps, convenience ledges, textured surfaces, and swim-outs are made at this time. From this solid structure, a fiberglass plug is made. A plug, in very simple terms, is an extremely thick prototype of a swimming pool. From this plug, a fiberglass mold is made. A mold, you might say, is a swimming pool turned inside out. Hundreds of pools are perfectly replicated from this mold.




	Layers
1: Because we are working with a "male" mold, the first step is to apply the internal finish of CPC's white Gel Coat or one of our Gemstone finishes for a smooth natural granite look. 2: Once the Gel Coat or Gemstone finish has been applied, an epoxy-modified resin, called Vinyl Ester Resin, is combined with fiberglass to form the important corrosion barrier. 3: Reinforcing layers of fiberglass and resin laminate are applied by hand, along with Carbon Fiber layers for enhanced durability. These Carbon Fibers are the same materials used to build the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner luxury jet. (For more information on Carbon Fiber technology, please click on any of the links.) 4. The Nidacore Ribs, or honeycomb vertical supports, are added to help support the wealls during the installation process, and the closed beam construction is completed to strengthen the copoing around th epool and allow for easier lifting and installation.


	Warranty
When something is well made from such high-quality materials as a CPC pool, you would expect the company to stand behind it; CPC does just that with a lifetime warranty.


	Quality Assurance
CPC takes great pride in it's Quality Assurance Program, which means that every pool that is made must be inspected and evaluated as per our six-step quality control procedure. The result from each of the six-step findings is documented and kept on file. 1: Check the mold to ensure that it is clean, level, free of dust, and free from wax buildup. 2: Check the Gel Coat or Gemstone for the correct thickness using the mil gauge to ensure proper thickness. 3: Check the Vinyl Ester Resin thickness using the mil gauge to ensure proper thickness. 4: Determine the Resin layer thickness by the mil gauge and the weight of fiberglass stitch mat used. 5: Check the overall thickness of the pool with calipers, using cut outs from the pool skimmer, light and returns. 6: The final cosmetic (visual) inspection is complete when the pool is loaded on the transportation trailer.
