AquaPools Wins Aviva Pools’ July 2026 Pool of the Month

We’re excited to announce that another AquaPools backyard has earned national recognition! Aviva Pools has named an AquaPools installation in Round Mountain, Texas, its July 2026 Pool of the Month.

Located just outside Marble Falls in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, this custom backyard features an Aviva Apex 40 fiberglass pool paired with an Oracle Spa and a carefully planned outdoor living space designed to take full advantage of the property’s incredible views.

A Texas Hill Country Backyard Designed Around the View

When AquaPools Backyard Designer Ryan Gholston began working with the homeowners, the property offered something special: several acres and a wide-open canvas.

Instead of simply deciding where a pool would fit, Ryan and the homeowners looked at how the pool would become part of the home and surrounding landscape.

One of the standout design details is the positioning of the Oracle Spa and spillover. The spa was carefully centered with the home’s back living room window, creating a direct sightline through the water feature and out toward the Texas Hill Country.

The result is a backyard that looks intentional from every angle—whether you’re relaxing poolside or looking outside from the living room.

Meet the Award-Winning Apex 40

At the center of the project is the Aviva Apex 40, a spacious fiberglass pool designed for swimming, entertaining, and relaxing.

For this installation, the homeowners selected Gibraltar Grey, creating a sophisticated water color that complements the natural surroundings.

The pool is surrounded by ivory travertine decking with matching cantilevered coping, giving the backyard a clean, upscale appearance. A cool deck coating adds another level of comfort to the outdoor space.

• Low-ambient heat pump chiller
• Automated valves for water features and spa functions

Together, these elements transformed an open Texas property into a polished, resort-inspired backyard.

Smart Pool Technology Behind the Design

A beautiful pool should also be easy to own. This installation features Hayward pool equipment and OmniLogic automation, allowing the homeowners to manage important pool  functions from a smartphone or control panel.

Lighting, deck jets, and spa functions can all be conveniently controlled, while the salt chlorination system helps simplify everyday water care.

We also incorporated a low-ambient heat pump chiller—an especially valuable feature during our hot Texas summers, when pool water can get warmer than homeowners would like.

Great Pool Design Starts With Communication

Creating a custom backyard involves much more than selecting a fiberglass pool model and putting it in the ground.

Placement, elevations, decking, water features, equipment, plumbing, and dozens of other details must all work together.

Throughout the project, Ryan worked closely with the homeowners as they refined different design elements. That collaboration helped the AquaPools team create a finished backyard that matched both the homeowners’ vision and the unique characteristics of their property.
